🔥 Hot out of the Oven: The Baking Sheet This Week in the Tezos Ecosystem: ➡️ Ushuaia Activates June 29 After months of development, testing, and governance, Ushuaia is set to become Tezos' 21st protocol upgrade. The update brings a 15x increase in Data Availability Layer bandwidth, faster DAL confirmations, rollup improvements, testnet support for protocol-native liquid staking (sTEZ), and the first implementation of post-quantum tz5 accounts for ecosystem testing. Bakers and node operators are encouraged to prepare by upgrading to Octez v25 ahead of activation. ➡️ Metals.io Expands Into Nickel and Cobalt Building on its growing real-world asset platform, metals.io has added tokenized nickel and cobalt alongside gold, uranium, and its Strategic Metals Basket. These commodities play a key role in electric vehicles, renewable energy, aerospace, and AI infrastructure, continuing the platform's mission of making traditionally hard-to-access markets more accessible through Tezos. ➡️ Art on Tezos Shines During Art Basel Art Basel week once again highlighted the strength of the Tezos art ecosystem, with exhibitions including Quayola's En plein air at HEK and Emi Kusano's Office Ladies: Rituals of Overflow presented by Grida. The week brought together artists, collectors, curators, and institutions while showcasing how digital art on Tezos continues to reach major cultural venues around the world. ➡️ Ecosystem Spotlight: Explore Tezos with tez.cool This week's spotlight features tez.cool, the community dashboard built by Tezos Commons that brings staking data, baker analytics, DeFi metrics, whale tracking, project directories, and live network statistics together in one place. 🔥 Hot out of the Oven: The Baking Sheet Issue #306 This Week in the Tezos Ecosystem: ➡️ Tezos X Previewnet Goes Live Developers can now publicly experiment with one of the core ideas behind Tezos X: EVM and Michelson interacting through a shared ledger. Instead of relying on separate chains and bridges, applications can now settle actions atomically across both environments in a single execution flow. ➡️ A New Design Space for Developers Solidity developers keep familiar EVM tooling, Michelson developers gain direct access to EVM users and liquidity, and applications can combine both environments natively. These meetups continue to bring very different corners of the ecosystem into the same room. ➡️ Open Worlds at Museum of the Moving Image During Frieze Week, the museum will host an afternoon of digital art encounters with Travess Smalley, Edgar Fabián Frías, and OONA, bringing Tezos-based digital art into a physical exhibition space. 👉 Read the full newsletter | Subscribe

➡️ Tezos Intents Introduces a New Cross-Chain Experience One of the clearest examples of post-Tez/Dev momentum turning into product is Tezos Intents. Instead of juggling bridges and wallets, users define what they want, and solvers compete to execute it. With smart accounts, RFQ execution, and full on-chain visibility, it reframes cross-chain interaction into a single, controlled experience. ➡️ Metals Moves Beyond Crypto Into Global Industry Conversations After its debut in Cannes, Metals is already stepping into the real world. The team will be present at The Economist Nuclear Summit, bringing tokenized uranium and strategic metals into discussions around global energy, supply, and infrastructure. ➡️ Tezos Expands Globally with New Regional Entities The ecosystem is growing its footprint with the launch of Tezos Middle East and Tezos Southeast Asia, alongside the Tezos Patronage Association. This shift reflects a more distributed model for growth, with local hubs supporting builders across gaming, DeFi, capital markets, and art. ➡️ Paris Is Next: Tezos Soirée at Paris Blockchain Week As momentum carries forward, the community heads to Paris for the next gathering. The Tezos Soirée at Nomadic Labs’ Bastille office offers a more intimate space for builders and contributors to connect ahead of the broader conference week. 👉 Read the full newsletter | Subscribe

🔥 Hot out of the Oven: The Baking Sheet Issue #301 This Week in the Tezos Ecosystem: ➡️ Tez/Dev 2026 Recap: Builders, Products, and Real-world Momentum Cannes brought the ecosystem together, and the signal was clear. Teams are building directly on live infrastructure, not hypotheticals. From atomic composability to intent-based design, everything pointed toward systems already in use, with Etherlink’s instant confirmations shaping how products are being designed in real time. ➡️ Metals.io Launch One of the biggest moments from Tez/Dev was the introduction of Metals by the team behind Uranium.io. Gold, uranium, and strategic metals are now accessible onchain with continuous markets and fractional ownership, pushing real-world assets further into usable infrastructure. ➡️ From Booth to Stage: Etherlink and EthCC Carry the Momentum That energy carried straight into the Etherlink booth and over to EthCC. Attendees experienced instant confirmations firsthand through the Proof of Speed challenge, while Arthur Breitman brought the conversation toward post-quantum readiness and long-term protocol design. Real-time interaction on the ground met long-term thinking on stage, tying together where Tezos is now and where it’s heading. ➡️ Bitstamp Expands Access to XTZ via Robinhood In parallel with ecosystem momentum, Bitstamp, now part of Robinhood, added Tezos (XTZ) to its tradable assets, opening another path for market access in the U.S. 👉 Read the full newsletter | Subscribe

Gold, uranium, and strategic metals are now accessible onchain with continuous markets and fractional ownership, pushing real-world assets further into usable infrastructure. ➡️ From Booth to Stage: Etherlink and EthCC Carry the Momentum – That energy carried straight into the Etherlink booth and over to EthCC. ➡️ Bitstamp Expands Access to XTZ via Robinhood – In parallel with ecosystem momentum, Bitstamp, now part of Robinhood, added Tezos (XTZ) to its tradable assets, opening another path for market access in the U.S. 👉 Read the full newsletter | Subscribe

Announcement: Kiln version 0.22.0.1 - No DAL Support in Kiln Recommended Alternatives Dear Kiln bakers, we want to inform the community that Kiln will not implement extended support for the Data Availability Layer (DAL) in its current development roadmap. While Kiln remains a robust solution for basic baking operations, it will not fully include DAL functionality. However, as a compromise, Kiln 0.22.0.1 brings minimal support by allowing users to pass an URI to a DAL node with --dal-node-uri to be used by the Kiln baker. This Kiln release uses Octez v22.0 binaries. Download from For integral DAL support, we recommend users to adopt TezBake (https://bakebuddy.xyz/) or Octez (https://octez.tezos.com/docs/introduction/howtoget.html). Thank you for your understanding, and we encourage Kiln users to explore TezBake or Octez for a seamless transition.

🚀 Introducing stacy.fi & stXTZ: Liquid Staked Tezos 🚀 Today we’re thrilled to launch stacy.fi the first Tezos staking platform combining full baking rewards with instant liquidity - brought to you by youves.com and powered by acurast.com. 🔹 What Is stXTZ? An FA2-compliant liquid staking token, stXTZ represents your share of staked XTZ. As the staking pool earns rewards, the share of the XTZ stake behind each stXTZ automatically increases. 🔹 Why Choose stacy.fi? The Tezos Paris B upgrade forced DeFi users to choose between lower rewards for delegated, but liquid XTZ or for full yield with staked XTZ locked for four days. stacy.fi gives you both: 1. Full Rewards stXTZ accrues 90% of the staking rewards (there is a 10% fee shared with the youves DAO & node operator). 2. Instant Liquidity Swap stXTZ XTZ anytime via our built-in CPMM pool. 3. DeFi-Ready stXTZ works where FA2 tokens are supported. 🔧 How It Works 1. Deposit XTZ via UI or directly to the contract it will be staked and stXTZ will be minted at the current rate. 2. Earn & Grow as rewards flow in, boosting your stXTZ’s underlying value. 3. Redeem or Trade: 🔒 Redeem burn stXTZ to unstake XTZ (claimable after \~4 days). 🔄 Trade instant swaps in the stXTZ/XTZ CPMM pool - no waiting. 🛡️ Security & Governance Thoroughly audited smart contracts with simple logic On-chain parameter control and updates by the youves DAO Acurast signers ensure atomic stake/mint & unstake/burn operations 🔗 Get Started Today 1.
